Responsibilities:

  • 1. Hardware Development:
    - Design schematics and layouts for electronics circuits and systems.
    - Choose appropriate electronics components like microcontrollers, sensors, connectors and other passive and active components.
  • 2. Product Testing and Diagnosis:
    - Conduct diagnostic tests and analysis of hardware and electronic components to identify issues.
    - Collaborate with the engineering team to reproduce and resolve complex technical problems.
    - Generate detailed reports on troubleshooting processes and solutions.
  • 3. Hardware Maintenance and Repairs:
    - Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment and hardware systems.
    - Conduct component-level repairs and replacements, including soldering and rework.
    - Ensure compliance with safety standards during maintenance activities.
  • 4. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including troubleshooting guides and FAQs.
    - Share knowledge and best practices with the support team and customers.
    - Assist in the development of training materials for internal and external use.
  • 5. Continuous Improvement:
    - Identify opportunities for process improvement in hardware and support workflows.
    - Provide feedback to the engineering team for product enhancement and reliability.
    - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Masters' degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in electronics and hardware design.
  • Experience with PCB design softwares KiCAD, Altium, Eagle.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and hardware systems.
  • Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations.
  • Experience with hardware and software debugging tools.
  • Ability to write scripts or code for automated testing and diagnostics.
