Mechanical Engineer

Xalten Systems, a forward-thinking technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. We specialise in developing cutting-edge solutions that address complex challenges across various industries and the defence sector. Our focus lies in creating groundbreaking products in the domains of robotics and sensor systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new products.

• Optimise designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.

• Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise tolerances and proper fit.

• Create detailed manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.

• Conduct FEA/CAE simulations to validate design performance and reliability (if applicable).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, quality) to ensure seamless product launches.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in product design and development.

• Proficient in CAD software ( Autodesk Inventor or similar).

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication).

• Excellent knowledge of GD&T principles.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

• Experience with FEA/CAE tools is a significant advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Programming languages Python.

• Experience with the development of pressure-tolerant systems for marine applications is desirable.
