Xalten Systems, a forward-thinking technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. We specialise in developing cutting-edge solutions that address complex challenges across various industries and the defence sector. Our focus lies in creating groundbreaking products in the domains of robotics and sensor systems.

Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new products.
Optimise designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise tolerances and proper fit.
Create detailed manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
Conduct FEA/CAE simulations to validate design performance and reliability (if applicable).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production, quality) to ensure seamless product launches.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2+ years of experience in product design and development.
Proficient in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or similar).
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication).
Excellent knowledge of GD&T principles.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Experience with FEA/CAE tools is a significant advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Programming languages Python.
Experience with the development of pressure-tolerant systems for marine applications is desirable.
