As a Software Engineer with specialised expertise in Core Java and Python, you will be at the forefront of our mission, contributing significantly to the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance software applications that drive our innovative products and services.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable software solutions.
Implement and improve the functionalities of the robotic systems, embedded systems, sensors, and sensor networks.
Validate the functionalities of our robotic systems and other products ensuring that they meet the specified requirements and deliver expected performance.
Continuously improve and optimise existing code to enhance software functionality, maintainability, and efficiency. Resolve software defects, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective measures.
Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them to propose innovative solutions for software development challenges.
Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and consistency across the team.
Create technical documentation for reference, reporting and QA
Embrace agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

Proven professional experience as a Software Engineer/ Developer
Knowledge of Java, Python, C/C++ and related frameworks/libraries (and/or) Web technologies, HTML5/JavaScript/CSS and related frameworks
Object-oriented design principles, multithreading, and memory management
Familiarity with database systems and SQL to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
Attention to detail, Good teamwork and Initiative.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective technical communication and seamless teamwork.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / related field, with relevant work experience

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of back-end servers, databases and networks, front-end development technologies, software/hardware interfaces
Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies
Understanding of software security principles and best practices.
Ability to learn new languages and technologies
